Next generation Sequencing
Next generation sequencing (NGS) has changed the face of microbiology and is now penetrating into clinical and public health laboratories. In these settings NGS may provide molecular typing data with the highest possible level of resolution for pathogen surveillance and outbreak detection.
We want to identify (clinical) laboratories in the Netherlands that already use NGS for molecular detection and epidemiology of pathogens or are planning to do so within the next twelve months. Please send an e-mail to NGSinmicrobiology@gmail.com to inform us about your NGS activities or plans. We will use this information to setup a national user group and to keep you informed about these developments.
