Dear PhD-Candidates, Postdocs and young researchers working with fungi,

We invite you to join us for the Junior Mycology Meeting 2026! Take this opportunity to connect with fellow early-career researchers in fungal science, present your work and get inspiration for your current research and future career.

Following the great success of last year’s event, the KNVM Junior Mycology Board is excited to organize the second edition of the Junior Mycology Meeting. The event will take place on November 26th, at Utrecht University’s Science Campus (Boothzaal M.03, University Library Utrecht Science Park, Heidelberglaan 3, 3584 CS Utrecht).

The program will feature career-inspiring talks by senior researchers as well as presentation and poster sessions for you to showcase your research and exchange ideas with your peers. We’ll end the day with a fun networking borrel. For more details, please check the program below.

Please, register and submit your abstract by October 1st using this registration link, so we have sufficient time to select the oral contributions and inform you well in time. Everyone who is not selected for an oral presentation will be offered the opportunity to present a poster instead.

We are looking forward to welcoming you to in November!

Best regards,
The KNVM Junior Mycology Board
