Dear Dutch/KNVM Microbiologists,

My Goodbye Lecture "Microbial Methane and Nitrogen Under the Loupe" and the Rector's reception afterwards will take place on May 29th, 2026, at the Aula of the Radboud University in Nijmegen from 15h-1800h. For the last 39 years, I have had the privilege of working with many (inter)national colleagues on the microbiology of methane and nitrogen cycling. This goodbye lecture will be an occasion to look back (or forward) at the collaborative work and some of the key discoveries in the field of nitrogen and methane microbiology.
